“Hmm. That’s a tough one. Tom Selleck.”

A single question, a moment of consideration, a definitive answer. And it raised 1000 yuan for maovember.

Maovember and manager Charlie at Take 5 have been confabbing for weeks about doing an event. With various constraints hampering the effort and time running short, Charlie simply donated 1000 yuan, we turned that into a short quiz, and everyone ended up a winner: his correct answer won him a shiny new maovember pin and our presence in a Scandinavian-themed bar and restaurant earned us shots of salmiakki, a savory and slightly viscous licorice-flavored liqueur.

Next year’s quiz question: What savory and slightly viscous licorice-flavored liqueur consumed in large quantities will make you feel the next day as though a reindeer recently and repeatedly kicked you in the head?
