With another successful week under its belt, maovember has its new goal of raising 80,000 yuan, and thus funding 100 cataract surgeries via Orbis, well within sight.
Cash on hand stands at 70,642 yuan. That includes 41,992 yuan in events after a strong week with The Irish Volunteer, Paddy O’Shea’s and Mashup / Deli de Luxe, 18,000 yuan in donations, including several new Super VIPs, and 10,650 yuan in pin sales. There is still quite a bit of pin revenue to be accumulated and that will add several thousand yuan more to the total.
Upcoming maovember events include a charity quiz at Q Mex on Wednesday, a mustache bash at Paddy O’Shea’s on Friday, and The Beijing Beatles at George’s Bar on Saturday, with several more to be announced.
